Consignor FAQ

How often do you have sales?

We host two sales each year – one in March and one in August.

Who can consign?

Anyone can consign.  You must have a minimum of 10 items to get a pre-sale pass.

Do consignors get to shop before the public?

Yes, consignors get to shop at a special Presale Event.  The date and time are determined by the number of Premium Brand items consigned and the number of shifts worked.

What percentage do I receive when I consign?

As a consignor you will earn 65% on Acceptable Brands and 80% on Premium Brands.  You can increase your percentage by working one 3 hour shift during the sale.  You will receive and additional 5% on sales (70% Acceptable and 85% Premium).

Are consignors required to work a shift during the sale?

No, consignors are not required to work during the sale.  If you choose to work one 3 hour shift, you will increase your earnings by 5%.  You will also get to shop the presale at an earlier time.

Do you only take current season clothing for each sale?

We accept all seasons at each sale.  Since we limit the brands, we do not limit the season.

What is a Premium Brand?

Premium Brands are brands that hold their resale value.  You receive a higher percentage on these items: 80% or 85% if you work one shift.  There are 16 Premium Brands for girls and 9 Premium Brands for boys.

What supplies do I need to start tagging my items?

Wire hangers, strong safety pins, white cardstock, zip ties, duct tape, and a hole puncher

What items do you accept ?

We currently accept boutique and trunk show clothing, shoes, baby equipment, kid furniture, large toys, and American Girl items.

What if I don't see a specific brand on the Acceptable Brands list?

You can Contact Us with the brand and we will let you know if it will be accepted for the sale.  Good rule of thumb is if you purchased it in a boutique store, then we will more than likely accept it.

Who sets the prices on items?

You are responsible for pricing and tagging all your items.  We do have Pricing Guidelines that can assist you with this.

 

How long does drop off take?

 Drop off normally takes 15 minutes or less.  You should have your items seperated by gender and then by size.  All Premium Brands will need to be in a seperate stack so we can count them and give you the correct presale pass.

 

When do I receive my check?

Your check will be available the day you pick up your unsold items.  It is always the Tuesday after the sale ends.

What if I cannot pickup my unsold items?

You can have a friend or relative pick up your items for you.  You will need to Contact Us by sending an email and stating the name of the person that can pick up your items.  You will also need to let us know if you want them to pick up your check or if you would like us to mail it to you.

What happens to the items that do not sell?

All unsold items will be returned to you on the Tuesday following the sale.
