We limit the clothing brands that we accept – Earn 65% on Acceptable Brands. You can increase it to 70% by working at least one shift. 

UPDATED PREMIUM BRANDS for the Spring Sale!  We have 16 Premium Brands for Girls and Boys – Earn 80% on these specific brands only. You can increase it to 85% by working at least one shift.  Do not forget to put a #P and brand name in item description. 

We only accept 19 Brands of Shoes – Must be in EXCELLENT CONDITION.  We will not place play condition or dirty shoes on the sales floor.

Minimum of 10 items required to get a pre-sale pass

MAX ITEM LIMITS ARE NOW BEING BASED ON SELL THROUGH RATE FROM THE LAST SALE YOU PARTICIPATED IN (If you haven’t consigned in either of the last two sales, you will be considered a new consignor).  If you are a new consignor, the maximum number of items that can be consigned is 60.  All returning/existing consignors, please CLICK HERE to see your sell through percentage and your max item limit.  

ALL SEASONS are accepted at each sale.

The Consignor Registration fee is $15.  This fee is non-refundable.  It helps with rent, insurance, and marketing.  The registration fee will be collected via Paypal at the time you register.   

Earn a $10 Referral Credit for each NEW consignor that you refer to the sale (No limit).  If they consign, you will receive a $10 credit on your consignor check.

Consignors that sell 85% or more of their active inventory will be allowed to enter the next season’s Pre-Sale 15 minutes earlier than their normal entrance time.  Price your items to sell and make sure your active inventory only includes items you actually bring to the sale.  A 15 minute head-start is a huge advantage.  

All consignors have the choice to discount their items on the last day.  The items have 7 days to sell at regular price.  Our discount day is 50% off.  If a consignor chooses to discount ALL (must be every single item) of their items for the sale, they will get a bonus 15 minutes to add to the presale pass they will receive at drop off.  The consignor must let us know at drop off that they discounted all their items to receive the extra 15 minutes.

Consignors will receive a presale pass when they drop items off on the specified Drop Off Days.  The consignors get to shop before anyone else.  Consignors DO NOT need to purchase a presale pass when they go on sale.  You will receive one that allows you to shop before the VIP and Early Bird Presale.  Only one person is allowed to shop the consignor presale (no guests) and no children are allowed (exception for infants 6 months or younger).

How Consignment Works?

We get asked this question a lot.  We do not purchase items from anyone.  All of the inventory at our sales is brought in by individuals.  They price and tag their items using an online tagging system that we provide.  That is why the prices are so different on each item.  They drop the items off with us and we organize everything and market to thousands of local families.  The consignor receives a percentage of the selling price (65% to 85%) depending on the brand and whether or not they choose to a work a shift during the sale.  They also get to shop a special pre-sale before we open the doors to the public. After the sale has ended, the unsold items are sorted and returned to the consignor.  On the same day they pick up the unsold items, they also receive a check for the items that did sell.

At the Boutique Closet, our focus is on boutique and trunk show brands.  We accept clothing items, shoes, baby gear, large toys, and kid furniture.  The average consignor earns about $400 each sale, with many making over $1000!  So what are you waiting for?  Start cleaning out the closet, garage, playroom, etc. and make some room for some new items for your kids!
